The Shadow Tracker is a 4-wheel drive electric-powered camera dolly that offers maximum versatility on pavement or rugged terrain. Offers a quick solution to subject tracking and camera positioning. Ideal for steadicam, stabilized heads, jib arms and midsize telescopic cranes, such as the Technocrane 15 (for using a Moviebird 17, please refer to our Tracker XL). This unit accommodates camera mounts, sound equipment and a good number of crew members. The dozen 1¼" speed rail receivers located on the deck, side, front and rear of the unit are used to secure the crew in a standing position, or for any other custom rigging requirements.

The Shadow Tracker can also be used in non-tracking shots as a base for the camera crane so it can be instantly moved around as needed without timely delays. The Tracker XL is covered with hard-anodized aluminum cheeseplate with 3/8" holes drilled 1" o.c. to allow for infinite rigging possibilities. There are several panels that can be quickly removed and repositioned as step plates. Along with the 4WD functionality, the four-wheel independent air bag suspension allows the operator to make adjustments right from the control panel to balance the load and maintain a level surface. There are four passenger seats with seat belts, bolted to base plates that can be quickly repositioned to accommodate various seating arrangements. There are 5 high-capacity batteries to maintain excellent power for extended periods. During downtime, the operator can connect to a ready power source or a Grip Trix generator for extended filming.
